A GIANT in Custom car culture George Barris passed away yesterday at age 89. George built cars for every major star of the 60's and 70's including Elvis. He was the go to guy for every T.V. show and Major motion picture featuring a special one of a kind automobile, including every custom theme car in T.V. Always current, always available, always relevant. George was one of the builders who made So. Calif./L.A. the custom capital of the world! As recent as last week he had made a public statement regarding who owns James Deans Spyder. And as I suspected it is still him and his estate. I was planning a special post regarding this ongoing story, it will appear shortly.
